Inside Sales Representative

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team located in Pittsburgh, PA.  This position involves taking incoming sales calls from our customers, answering their questions about our products and recommending the right replacement parts for their system, and creating and processing sales orders to fulfill the customer’s request. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. The qualified candidate must be a high-energy, self-starter with a strong work ethic.  This individual will need to be motivated by a competitive industry and be results, detail and team-oriented.

  • Stay up-to-date with products and maintain working knowledge of system parts and components

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound customer calls and follow up emails

  • Understand customer needs and requirements

  • Route qualified opportunities to the outside sales executives for further development and closure

  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases

  • Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service

  • Build productive trust relationships with customers

  • Create accurate estimates and clear quotations 

  • Work together with and provide support for outside sales

  • Ensure the smooth running of sales process

  • Suggest ways to improve sales

  • Proven inside sales experience

  • Strong phone presence and experience

  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

  • Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements

  • Assist in providing materials relating to marketing, and also information that could help in designing a market plan.

  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office suite; Experience working with QuickBooks is a plus

  • Solid verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong listening and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • 5 years experience in a sales or marketing function; BA/BS degree preferred
